The Sensational Vex Red!
The best new band out deffinatley!!
These guys are british and they totally rock. They have already released two singles with Ross Robbinson's [Yes, ROSS ROBBINSON!] I AM label. You may have heard them. The First was 'Itch'... the video showed the band in like some kinda wierd garage with a fat man covered in white paint, some concrete bodies, a person covered in feathers and another chap drowning in a pool - very cool.
The second single (the latest one at the mo) is 'Can't Smile' - a song about a chap who can't smile [My interpretation!! Haa Haa!]. This one is really good... the video is in two bits - sometimes it shows the band playing, other times a bloke running across a building in LA. At the end the bloke jumps on a car and hurls himself over the edge of the building. When the secret agents (?) look for him [they were in the car you see] the man has dissapered! STRANGE....
Actually if you look carefully when the bloke jumps on the car roof the window cracks down the middle... aparently this cost loads to repair!!
Anyway... The albums out tomorrow (monday 4th march 2002) and is titled 'Start With A Strong And Persistant Desire'. Its going to be really good (I hope). Also Vex Red are on tour at the moment so get a ticket!! Im seeing them on the 16th at the Birmingham Academy!! Hey and guess what - Im getting a custom made Vex Red Shirt!!..................... In The Pipe line - A vex red fansite by me!! Gerreat! |
